Emraan is known for his articulate advocacy and tireless preparation. He turns complex legal challenges into clear, compelling cases, and outcomes that matter.
A member of the Ontario Bar, Emraan holds a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Peace, Conflict, and Justice Studies from the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs. While at Osgoode, he received several advocacy awards, including top oralist honours at the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.
Before law, Emraan spent several years at TD in progressively senior roles across fraud prevention, investments, and client advisory. That experience, combined with his litigation training, allows him to approach disputes with both strategic insight and commercial understanding.
Emraan has represented clients in a broad range of litigation matters, including shareholder oppression claims, civil fraud, defamation, real estate disputes, commercial leasing conflicts, and urgent injunctions. He also has deep experience in employment law, acting in wrongful and constructive dismissal cases, workplace investigations, and human rights complaints. Whether representing businesses or individuals, Emraan offers direct, intelligent guidance backed by careful preparation and composed advocacy.
Outside the courtroom, Emraan is a curious reader with a passion for global affairs. He’s written commentary on civil rights and international issues, and when he’s not reading or writing, you’ll likely find him exploring somewhere new, either be scuba diving, climbing, or traveling across continents.
