Riaz brings sharp strategy and a calm command to every dispute, combining courtroom confidence with an unwavering focus on client clarity.

A member of the Ontario Bar and founder of Ahmed Law in 2011, Riaz holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Waterloo and an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School. Before law, he worked with tech startups in the financial services sector, giving him a practical edge in navigating business realities.

Riaz has acted in a broad range of litigation matters, including shareholder oppression claims, winding-up applications, civil fraud, injunctions, franchise disputes, and commercial leasing conflicts. He also has deep experience in employment law, from wrongful and constructive dismissals to workplace discrimination and strategic advisory for employers.

He has appeared before all levels of Ontario courts, including the Court of Appeal, Divisional Court, Superior Court (Commercial List), and various tribunals and administrative boards.

Outside the courtroom, Riaz is an avid reader, a devoted basketball fan, and a die-hard supporter of the Toronto Raptors, bringing the same passion and precision to his practice as he does to the game.
